Letter to Young Friends by Stephen Dotson

Stephen Dotson has written a letter to the Young Friends discussing his involvement with World Student Christian Federation.  Young friends are especially invited to read this description of Stephen's experience with this group.  You will also learn how you might wish to become involved.  The letter is on the FGC website; here's a direct link: Stephen's Letter.

AFSC Invitation:

Please Help Welcome Kristen Richardson – the new AFSC Director of Friends Relations

The AFSC Washington Public Policy Office will host an open-house/reception on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007 from 7pm to 9:30 pm to provide an opportunity for local Friends to meet Kristen Richardson, the new AFSC Director of Friends Relations.

This is a new position within AFSC located in the main office in Philadelphia, and Kristen began in this post on Sept. 17th.

All of us are excited about what Kristen will bring to AFSC:  to be a bridge builder, to learn and share with Friends and colleagues with openness, a deep spiritual centeredness combined with a track record of results-oriented work, and authentic commitment to Quaker values and living the values we hold dear.

Kristen will make a short presentation about her background, and the mission she is undertaking with AFSC, and there will be time for questions and answers, and to meet informally with Kristen, and with some of the AFSC Washington office staff.

For further information, please contact Dennis Hartzell, Office Manager, Washington Public Policy Office, AFSC  202-483-3341, ext. 100 or dhartzell@afsc.org

RSVP’s are welcomed, but not necessary.

The AFSC Washington Public Policy Office is located at 1822 R Street, NW, Washington, DC.  Street parking is limited.  We suggest you take Metro – Red Line to Dupont Circle, exit the north or Q Street exit.
