Activities: Review potential materials to be purchased, continuously evaluate the collection for needed items, purchase items and prepare them for loans by appropriate protective covering and tracking materials. Solicit overdue books, make announcements which advertise library holdings, act as librarain to assist library visitors, check in returned books and restock the library with returned or new materials placed in related categories.

Current Projects: The Robert McMillan nature collection has been a special emphasis, as has been maintaining the fifth set of Pendle Hill Pamphlets and obtaining new, representative Quaker books. The library has also undertaken to maintain free pamphlet materials located in the Meeting Anti-room.

Interaction with other committees: There are on occasions questions as to whether the library or religious education committee should purchase books, etc. To be used in religious education.

Outreach: Committee members need to present key publications, DVD’s information about availability, etc to the Meeting so all can be aware of opportunities available through the library.
